About the escape room

In 1920, in a dark forest not far from Lake Zurich, a dead, dismembered woman was found in a house. Her severed arms were in the freezer, her legs on the roof, and her torso nowhere to be found. At the time, it was speculated that it had been the work of forest animals. The case was never solved by the police due to a lack of evidence.

The said house has always been terrifying. Over the years, police officers and detectives repeatedly entered the alleged crime scene to shed light on the case... the last person to have entered the house was never seen again. That was in 1958.

You and your friends decide to sneak into the house to form your own opinion about what happened over 100 years ago.

But beware... Ghosts could awaken in the house at any time, and they might not be very friendly.

AI Overview

AIMost praise the immersive set, the well-thought-out story, and creative, varied puzzles. Horror is on the mild side, with no actors and no jump scares. One room looks a bit worn but fits the theme. Some found it too dark, the group splits at the start, and there are sections where you have to crawl.
WeaknessesFor some, it was too dark in places; the provided lamps didn’t help everyone. The set shows slight wear. The early split means not everyone sees everything, and crawling isn’t for everyone.
StrengthsVery cohesive set with lovely effects that make the house feel alive. Puzzles are fair, varied, and logical, with hints elegantly woven into the story. The flow is often described as smooth and engaging.
SecurityThere are tight, dark passages and some crawling; anyone with knee or back issues should know. Some felt the provided lights were too weak.
Level of fearMore lightly creepy than truly frightening, manageable even for the easily spooked. Without live actors and without harsh shock moments.
Actors' gameAccording to reviews, there are no actors in play. Interaction comes through tech, atmosphere, and the told story.
Quality of riddlesCreative, varied, and fairly structured, with a good mix of difficulties. Clues are integrated into the narrative and feel organic. Teamwork is required; at the start, the group splits up.
PlotYou investigate an old house on Lake Zurich where a gruesome murder occurred in 1920. As you follow the clues, something unsettled might stir—without spoiling anything here.
Difficulty levelMedium difficulty with a good learning-curve feel. Beginners can make it with hints; experienced players will enjoy the variety and effects.
