Escape from Earth

Humanity has managed to bring itself to ruin, everything that science has warned about for years has come true. The weather became increasingly extreme, resources scarcer, and eventually, not much is left of the Earth as we know it. Although you have survived the natural disasters and famines, you lead a rather bleak life. Your former possessions and wealth are of no use to you now. For weeks, you have been wandering through the wasteland, hoping to encounter another living soul. How many people have survived the numerous catastrophes is not exactly known, but you do not want to give up hope of finding more survivors. Because in the dark nights, you occasionally hear strange noises. Are they radio signals, or perhaps unknown flying objects that only move at night? One morning, as you walk through the deserted area and wonder if you have passed this exact spot just a few hours ago, you discover something behind one of the dusty piles of rubble that have been heaped up here. At first, you think it's just an illusion, but as you step closer, you are sure: It's a door! You press down the dusty handle and step inside... What awaits you is hard to believe. Tick tock, tick tock, time is running out...
